Does the Society of Critical Care Medicine offer credentialing programs?

The Society of Critical Care Medicine is not a credentialing organization. We provide continuing education to critical care professionals, but we are completely separate from the organizations that manage board exams and certifications. Questions should be directed to the appropriate board.

The Society also does not certify physicians in the field of critical care medicine.  That would be done by one of the five medical boards: Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Osteopathic Internists, Surgery or Pediatrics.  Nurses are certified by the National League for Nurses in New York, New York.
